The Gateway

The GATEWAY office development is the result of a successful tender of URA 9th Sales Site Parcel 8, now call URA Land Parcel No 116, submitted by Gateway Land Pte Ltd and was awarded officially on April 1981 by URA. The site is strategically located between two flyovers, an extension of Rochor Road and Ophir Road which forms part of the Pan island Expressway (PIE) accessible via Beach Road leading Eastward to the Changi International Airport and Westward to Jurong Town Industrial Estate and North to the Causeway and Malaysia.

The twin-tower development of this site is intended to signify symbolically the "Gateway" to Singapore.

The project consists of two basements covering an area of approximately 160m x 93m and two identical parallelogram tower blocks each 37 storeys tall.

Phase I Piling was completed in May 1983.

Total project expected completion date is in 1990.

22,557m2.
